The Blue Ridge Ringers, the community handbell group in Henderson County, seeks to audition two new members. Blue Ridge Ringers is a five-octave community handbell ensemble that uses malmark bells and malmark chimes. Music director is Robert Currier. Practice is from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Mondays at First United Methodist Church in Hendersonville. This group is not associated with any church, but an organization that provides handbell enthusiasts an opportunity to play a wider variety of more difficult music, both sacred and secular. Most of the ringers also ring with their local church handbell groups. They live in Henderson, Transylvania, Polk and Buncombe counties. Prospective ringers must read music, have significant prior handbell experience and ring approximately level 4-5 music.

If you are a handbell ringer who is qualified and interested in auditioning for this community group, call 692-4910 or 862-8666 to find out more about the group and make arrangements for your audition.
