Repost from Handbell-l

We’ve had a very busy summer and now Christmas is coming into full swing!
All Saints’ Warlingham Handbell Ringers started the Christmas season by
performing at The National Camping and Caravanning Club’s “National Feast of
Lanterns” which had the “Christmas” theme. We rode by mini-bus over five
hours, stayed in a hotel overnight and then performed for four hours at this
National Event – all at the Pickering Show Grounds up in Yorkshire. We had
a wonderful time and are well prepared this year for the very busy Christmas
Season.

If you are in the UK anytime between now and Christmas, we have a couple of
dates and places we are performing at and hope you will be a part of:

Nov. 2 – The Patronal Lunch – The Church Hall, Warlingham, UK (located on
the Green)

Nov. 12 – Playing at Knights – Nags Hall (near Oxted, Surrey, UK – A garden
centre)

Nov. 14 – Playing at Knights – Ivy (near Bletchingley, Surrey, UK – A garden
centre)

Nov. 15 – Playing at the Lights on the Green – usually around 4:30PM

Nov. 18 – Talk at the Scout Hut about Handbells by Daniel Pelling – 8PM

Nov. 23 – CONCERT – 2PM – Church Norton in Selsey, Sussex
This concert is in aid of Church Norton – so please do come out and support
this very worthwhile cause!! :)

A bit about Church Norton:
On the shores of Pagham Harbour, the Church is the 13th century Chancel of
the Parish church of St Peter which was moved 1 mile south in 1864, to be
near the centre of population. Under Canon Law the Chancel cannot be moved
so it was sealed at the 12th century Chancel Arch. It is now in the care of
‘The Churches Conservation Trust’ as a redundant building, though still
occasionally used for services.

The site is thought to be the location of the Cathedral built by St Wilfrid
after bringing Christianity to the South Saxon kingdom in AD 681. The See
was later moved to Chichester. There is a curved earthwork to the south
which still hides it’s secrets. Various suggestions have dated it from the
Armada back to the Saxons.

Nov. 30 – Playing at the 9:30AM Church Service at All Saints’ Warlingham UK

I haven’t had confirmation of times not listed yet, but the dates are
confirmed. I’ll post again when times are confirmed and add our December
schedule as well.

I look forward to seeing you there!
