Thousands attend Louisiana Colorfest

Louisiana, MO — Louisiana is celebrating its 190th birthday at the 24th annual Colorfest this weekend.
Most of the activities take place on or around Georgia Street from the Mississippi River to Seventh Street.
Activities included Saturday’s parade, a car show and a Little Mr. and Miss contest. Sunday’s events include a church service, duck race and motorcycle show. Other attractions include a snake and bird show, kids’ games, a young artists’ show, home tours and crafts.
The Centenary United Methodist Church handbell choir won best decorated float at Saturday’s 24th annual Louisiana Colorfest parade. Other weekend events included car and motorcycle shows, crafts, an art show, Louisiana High School class reunions, a duck race and entertainment.
