- The month that actually contains Christmas starts off with the 29th season of the Greenwood Singers and their popular The Many Moods of Christmas at McDougall United Church, 10025 101st St. on Monday, Dec. 1 at 8 p.m. With the help of the University of Alberta Faculty of Education Handbell Ringers, organist Jeremy Spurgeon and pianist Helen Stuart, the Greenwood Singers promise motets for Advent and Christmas, with works by Healey Willan, Diane Loomer and Edmonton composer Brendan Lord, as well as arrangements of traditional carols and Christmas pop songs. Tickets are available from Tix on the Square and at the door.
