Additional new board members include Timothy Shepard, vice president; Karla Atkinson, secretary; Will Morris, fund raising chair; Virginia Ramsey, Music in the Schools coordinator; Pamela Blevins, public relations chair, and John Luzena and Karen A. Shaffer, members at large. They join standing members Renee Bresler, JoAnne Chase, Parker Johnstone, Ann Hoeke, Betty Taylor and Addie Blake.

Shepard, the Philarmonics new vice president, is the music director and organist at Brevards First United Methodist Church. He received his bachelors degree in church music from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, N.J., and his masters degree in sacred music from Emory University in Atlanta.

He is a composer and arranger of choral, handbell, keyboard and congregational music that has been recorded and performed throughout the United States and other countries.
