TWIN CITIES BRONZE IN CONCERT

Twin Cities Bronze of Minneapolis-St. Paul will present a Twelfth Night Concert on Jan. 9, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Peace United Methodist Church, 5050 Hodgson Road, Shoreview, MN.

This concert will wrap up the season with fun and entertaining holiday tunes that will have the audience tapping its toes and swaying in the seats. The ensemble will also feature favorite pieces highlighted throughout the year as it recognizes its 10th anniversary.

Twin Cities Bronze is a performing ensemble specializing in the music and art of English handbells.  Through musically sensitive interpretation and technical execution, Twin Cities Bronze showcases a unique diversity in today’s challenging secular, sacred and classical handbell repertoire.

Twin Cities Bronze is concluding a year round performance schedule that included  Showcase and Music Series performances throughout the Upper Midwest, offerings of its  handbell workshop “Insights Into Artistry” and a summer tour.  Noteworthy appearances were holiday concerts with Doc Severinsen at Minnesota Orchestra Hall with the Minnesota Orchestra and the Minnesota Chorale.

The 12 members of Twin Cities Bronze ring six octaves of Schulmerich handbells and five octaves of handchimes manufactured in Pennsylvania, four octaves of Whitechapel handbells made in England, and a variety of other instruments that are integrated into their performances.
