The Charlotte Bronze Handbell Ensemble, under the direction of internationally-known clinician and composer Timothy H Waugh, announces its “Curtain Warmer” Concert on Monday, June 6, at 7:30 PM in the Sanctuary of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church at 3200 Park Road, Charlotte, North Carolina. This concert is free and open to the public.
Musical selections will feature several sets of handbells, spanning nearly 6 octaves and seven octaves of handchimes and will include cello, viola, percussion, and piano.
The Charlotte Bronze Handbell Ensemble was formed in November 2010, with its first rehearsal in March 2011, perhaps making this group the youngest community choir in the states! The Ensemble includes twenty auditioned ringers of various ages and ringing backgrounds.
